Sports Creative are proud to launch our campaign Go Green! It is our aim to make sportswear more environmentally friendly. We aim to cut our carbon footprint, recycle materials wherever possible, and make our sportswear more sustainable than anyone else.

Our Go Green! mission statement is not just hot air either, we have put in place a multi faceted strategy to help our clients realise their environmental goals in key areas:

Organic materials :- Bamboo fibre vests and shirts can be designed to the same high specification as our polyester garments. Our Bamboo fibre is sourced from managed crops and is produced using low toxic ink. This makes them 100% biodegradable, meaning that your next event shirts and vests could be your greenest yet.

Recycled fabrics :- Recovered Polyester fabric vests and shirts can be produced from the off cuts of other products, as well as recovered from reusable garments. This reduces the carbon footprint of manufacturing by utilising every possible offcut of fabric and reducing wastage in every product.

Sea Freight : – Low impact sea frieght delivery can be used instead of environmentally damaging short haul cargo flights. This limits the omissions produced by every garment by combining as many orders as possible into larger and more efficient consignments.

>> Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon 2011

Sports Creative are proud to announce their support for the 2011 Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon. In its second year, this unique coastal route was voted by Running Fitness readers as one of the Top 10 marathons to run in 2011.

The race takes runners around the dramatic coastline of Portsmouth from the South parade pier to the end of the Hayling Billy line before returning. The whole course offers some up close and personal views of Langstone harbour, and the 5.5 hour limit is included to stop runners getting their feet wet when the tide comes in!

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the race is dedicated to the good work of the RNLI with proceeds going towards their life saving work around our coastline.

Entry includes a free technical t-shirt, designed exclusively for the Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon by Sports Creative.

This summer will see more athletics meetings across the country than ever before. Many of them are organised by athletics clubs and their teams of eager volunteers working hard to get the races running.
